La Sultane de Saba - personal favs from body collection

I discovered La Sultane de Saba the same way many of you did — through Kseniya Shipilova’s blog. She sells it like a pro: rich and sensual. YouTube, on the other hand, is full of mixed reviews — some people hate their scents, others are totally obsessed.

Disclaimer: I’m in love for oriental, bold, sometimes even masculine scents. Musk, leather, amber, patchouli, tobacco, vanilla - give me all the sweet, heady, intense, wrapping kind of fragrances. So, yeah, no surprise La Sultane found a permanent home in my bathroom - and on my skin.

First fave: Lotus and Frangipani Flowers body lotion. La Sultane calls their lotions “light", I beg to differ. The texture is rich and satiny, but it melts into the skin instantly, leaving it soft, hydrated, and not the slightest bit sticky. On me, the lotus note blooms beautifully - and since I'm a fan of lotus, I could slather this on forever. The scent lingers all day, clinging to loungewear, and voilà — you're basically a walking, cozy eastern cloud in pajamas. Mood: burning palo santo, sitting in a black silk kimono on a bar stool.

Amber, Musk and Sandalwood is my go-to for evenings. Try this: foamy bath, a glass of wine, your favorite series. Then you step out, apply this on warm, steamed skin - and just float straight to the bedroom, so your man can sniff you from head to toes. Done. You’re irresistible. On me, it’s all about amber and creamy sandalwood. It’s an olfactory masterpiece, honestly.

Orange Blossom is the lightest scent out of the ones I own. I get bergamot, a hint of lemon, and sweet, juicy orange. It’s spring and summer in a bottle. Not as bold or mysterious as the others in the line, but still gorgeous. Pro tip: layer it with Jo Malone Orange Blossom and you’ll float around all day in the dreamiest citrus cloud.

Now, Ayurvedic Amber, Vanilla and Patchouli - that’s a heavy hitter. Even I get overwhelmed by it if it’s the wrong season. Winter is where it shines. If it’s below -10°C, this is your best friend. It’s more than a moisturizer - it is your perfume. Trust me, don’t layer it with anything else. I avoid applying it to my collarbone area - the scent can get so intense it gives me a headache. I’ve been using this for a year and haven’t even finished a third. Worth every cent. Think: sickly sweet vanilla and spicy patchouli wrapping you up like a cashmere sweater. You, your clothes, your bedding - everything smell like an Arabian fairytale.

Soooo are they worth the price? I say yes. This is full-on aromatherapeutic skincare. As someone who loves to slather on body creams from head to toe, this is a whole spa moment in my bathroom. The scent lasts all day and honestly, who needs perfume when your skin smells this divine? Plus I’m all in with the concept of a soft, well-hydrated, great-smelling woman. And what are you gonna do about it?
