NuFace toning device
My personal experience with NuFace microcurrents.
I first discovered microcurrents at a salon. I went in for a facial massage and cleansing when my esthetician suggested I try a new procedure. In just one session, it was supposed to reduce puffiness, sculpt my face, and define my cheekbones. I tend to wake up with facial swelling, which is especially noticeable around my almond-shaped eyes. Mornings often leave me looking like an unlucky beekeeper, so my bathroom is always stocked with gua sha tools and facial rollers, while my fridge holds an arsenal of face masks and eye patches.
The results from my first microcurrent session were immediate - it only took 15-20 minutes. The only downside? The need for regular visits to the esthetician. And since consistency is key, I started looking for an at-home alternative to save my wallet from unnecessary spending.
With so many microcurrent devices on the market, I decided to try the NuFace Mini.

If you think it only reduces puffiness - think again. The real benefit of microcurrent therapy is that it works not just on your skin but also on your facial muscles. It boosts elastin and collagen production, restores muscle tone ( hello, lifted face ), improves blood circulation, smooths out fine lines, and even helps fade post-acne pigmentation and dark circles.
The downside? It’s a long-term relationship. Microcurrents have a cumulative effect, so don’t expect a dramatic lift after the first use.
My advice? Take a photo before your first session, then again after a month of consistent use, and another after two months. You’ll be shocked at the difference.
My sculpted cheekbones and defined jawline? I owe a lot of that to NuFace. No matter how good your genetics are, after 30, you need to maintain them. Personally, I’m not a fan of facial fillers. Sure, a couple of syringes of hyaluronic acid can instantly lift your cheekbones and sharpen your jawline, but the long-term consequences - swelling, shifting filler - aren’t worth it. Save yourself the stress (and your face).
How to Use NuFace?
After washing my face, I pat it dry with a paper towel and apply a thick layer of aloe gel (you need a water-based gel to conduct the microcurrents and ensure smooth gliding). Then, I move the device upwords along the massage lines, working one side of the face first, then the other, and finally moving to the neck. The whole routine takes about 10-15 minutes. Afterward, I wipe off the excess gel and apply my regular skincare.
Final Verdict: Microcurrents are a smart investment in your skincare routine. As with anything in beauty, consistency is key. Stick with it, and your face will thank you.
